OUR 2018 HOLIDAY CHARITY RECOMMENDATIONS
Below is a list of charities we have personally worked with, or visited, in our travels around the world and have the utmost respect for what they're doing to save some of the most vulnerable animals on the planet.
While we are still in the recovery process, each day we celebrate the re-opening of a restaurant, attraction or a favorite spot. We are very proud about the progress we have made to-date and importantly, we are all happy as we can still boast about offering an unparalleled vacation experience - one that is personalized and continues to exceed expectations in terms of its product, natural beauty, and the luxurious experience that focuses on service, friendliness, authenticity and safety.
We are a global community conservation organization that advances the vision and work of Dr. Jane Goodall. By protecting chimpanzees and inspiring people to conserve the natural world we all share, we improve the lives of people, animals, and the environment. Everything is connected - everyone can make a difference.
Born from one family’s passion for Kenya and its wilderness, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is today the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world and one of the pioneering conservation organisations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa.
Virunga National Park is home to around a third of the world’s population of wild mountain gorillas, as well as four orphaned gorillas who reside in the Senkwekwe Center, the only facility in the world that cares for mountain gorillas in captivity. Located at Park headquarters in Rumangabo, the Center’s inahbitants were each victims of poachers or animal traffickers as infants.
